AFT Insulation

November 16, 2024November 22, 2024

In many homes and buildings, the insulation levels required by building codes don’t come close to protecting rooms from temperature extremes. That’s why AFT’s team of professional installers is here to help. We can upgrade your existing insulation levels or provide new installation services to improve your energy efficiency and make your home more comfortable.

AFT Insulation: Your Partner in Residential and Commercial Insulation

Our cellulose insulation, Carbon Smart® Loose-Fill Cellulose, is manufactured from recycled paper fibers, primarily old newsprint and cardboard, in highly efficient electrically driven mills. The insulation is then mixed with fire retardant chemicals and dry binder in an environmentally responsible manner. The binder helps prevent settling, which may reduce the installed thickness of loose-fill cellulose insulation by as much as 25%. The end result is a thermal/acoustical insulation system capable of reducing sound power by up to 60%1 and heating and cooling costs by up to 25%2.

AFT Insulation has developed a complete system for installing cellulose in wall, floor, and attic cavities and a variety of other applications. This includes a foam water sealant that reduces install time and provides superior system hardening over duct putty or hardware store foam. AFT also offers a range of vapor and radiant barriers that can be installed with the insulation in the attic or walls to ensure your space is properly sealed and protected from moisture, vapor, and heat.

Emergency House Cleaners and Same-Day Cleaners

natrisk,
September 25, 2024October 16, 2024

Emergency house cleaners are a type of cleaning service that specializes in responding quickly to unexpected spills, accidents, or incidents that require immediate cleaning attention. They are equipped to handle various situations such as flood damage restoration, fire damage cleanup, mold remediation, and even crime scene cleaning. These specialized services are often used in industrial settings where chemicals and hazardous materials are present, but can also be found in commercial properties such as office buildings and retail stores, medical facilities, schools, and residential homes.

Aside from responding to sudden issues, Emergency cleaners can also provide regular cleaning services to prevent further damage or deterioration of the property. This includes sanitization of areas affected by flooding, removing soot and smoke residue from areas burned in the fire, and disinfection after chemical spills. This prevents further deterioration of the area and protects the health and safety of building occupants.

Same-Day Cleaners

One of the biggest benefits of emergency maid services is the ability to schedule them on short notice. This is especially useful for people who are preparing for a visitor such as an inspector, potential buyers, or guests. Same-day maid services can help you make a great impression on visitors by making sure your home or office is tidy.

If you need to schedule a same-day cleaning service, start by asking around for recommendations from friends and family. Once you have a few names, look them up online to learn more about their services and reviews. Then narrow it down to two or three options that are licensed, insured, and have good customer reviews. Once you have your top choices, contact them to request a quote and arrange a meeting.

How to Apply a Rubber Roof Coating

natrisk,
February 14, 2024March 9, 2024

Rubber roof coating provides an excellent alternative to a full roof replacement. It’s easy to apply and waterproofs a roof quickly. It can also protect the building from severe weather, prolonged sun exposure and other hazards. It’s ideal for flat roofs, parapet walls and a variety of other surfaces.

This material is a great option for metal roofing solutions as well as shingle and tile roofs. The liquid application is sprayed or brushed on and left to dry into a seamless blanket that adds durability and longevity to the roof system. This material is a smart investment for any commercial roof and can extend the life of the roof by decades.

Efficient Roofing Systems: Exploring Liquid Roof Solutions

A rubber roof coating is made from a blend of isobutylene and refined to create the liquid application. The chemistry behind the drying process causes the product to fuse with your roof, becoming one in the same. This makes it impossible for water to penetrate the surface, preventing the formation of algae and other fungi.

Depending on the type of roof, you may need to prep the surface before applying the rubber coating. It’s important to remove any old shingles or debris, seal any skylights, vents or protrusions and reinforce low-lying areas. The coating will adhere better to a clean slate and provide a more even finish.

It’s a good idea to wear protective clothing when working with this material. Pants, long sleeves, closed-toed shoes and a hat are ideal.
