Spray Foam Insulation and Quality Insulation

Quality Insulation is sprayed into an open cavity, like the attic, crawl space, or rim joist of a new construction home or pole barn. It can also be applied in existing homes and commercial buildings. This type of insulation fills in nooks and crannies, unlike fiberglass or cellulose, and it never compresses, sags, or shifts over time. It also prevents air leakage that causes discomfort and high energy bills.

It’s important to have spray foam insulation installed by trained professionals, as the process is complex and requires specialized equipment. If spray foam insulation is installed improperly, it can cause toxic chemical off-gassing and mold growth, as well as reduce the energy efficiency of your building.

Quality Insulation with Spray Foam: Protecting Your Investment

Typically, homeowners need to vacate their homes during the spraying and curing process. Using products with low volatile organic compounds (VOCs) decreases this need, so homeowners can return to their homes within 1-3 days.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors has advised that incorrectly installed spray foam insulation can affect a property’s value and may require a specialist report to rectify. This could ultimately delay the sale of the property.

With the recent increase in demand for spray foam inspections, some property surveys are finding themselves with a backlog of work. To help surveyors manage their workload and keep up with the increased demand for spray foam insulation, Property Inspect’s all-in-one app allows them to capture, share, and report their findings in an easy-to-use, customizable format.
